SMS Terms

These terms govern text messages from The Hot Potato, which is owned and operated by Kerido LLC.
Authentication messages
When you request a sign-in code, The Hot Potato sends a one-time automated text to the phone number you provide. Message and data rates may apply.
Game notifications
The Hot Potato no longer sends gameplay text messages. Game updates are available through notifications in the mobile application. Previous gameplay SMS preferences do not enable text delivery.
Frequency and charges
Authentication texts are sent when you request a sign-in code. Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
Previous gameplay text preferences
Gameplay texts remain discontinued, including for people who previously opted in. Replying START or UNSTOP does not restart gameplay texts. Historical consent and opt-out records are retained under our Privacy Policy. Authentication codes are requested separately when signing in.
